Research Grants

CSRE workshop welcomes research in any stage, from nascent ideas to polished presentations. However, our grant program (internal; for Harvard graduate students only) focuses on those who presented research designs at the workshop or who have met with the faculty sponsors to discuss their research proposals and need some money to help them pilot their projects.

Eligibility
Grants are available to Harvard graduate students who have presented at the workshop or have met with the faculty sponsors to discuss research design. Preference will be given to applicants who regularly attend the workshop or who demonstrate (e.g. through providing written feedback to presenters they can't be there for) a commitment to helping others in the group.

Grant Process
Grants of approximately $300-1000 will be offered, after considering the quality of the application and the applicant's participation in the workshop, to those who (1) implement changes based on feedback received, and (3) submit a research design (approximately two pages), a draft of their research instruments, and budget by 11:59 pm on May 13, 2018 for the 2017-2018 academic-year. Please include any other sources of funding you have procured in your budget. 1-3 projects will be approved for funding, depending on the number of people who apply and funds available. Submissions should have IRB approval or be under review, and the CSRE faculty sponsors will review each submission.

Application
If you are interested in applying, please complete the application form found here and email your research proposal to Emily Briand (eebriand@fas.harvard.edu) as a single .pdf file with the subject line “CSRE Student Research Grant 2018“ by the deadline.
